  1. I knew diamond lil..he worked in the pie and mash shop in
    Hackney road not sure what it was called now. I believe he lived in a flat in Columbia road.
    He used to sing in a local pub his
    Partner Masie used to play the piano. I lived in Pritchard’s road in dinmont estate. I think diamond lil did an act in the flats when they had a party there when Elizabeth the second had her coronation if I remember rightly.
